New song and Go Live

Postby bob.langer@charter.net » Thu Aug 24, 2017 7:12 am

The database did not have the lyrics for a couple of songs for this week. I was able to find them on the Internet. I would copy, paste and save. I formatted the verses and chorus as I have in the past.

Now the problem:

The display and Go Live output displays the entire song. Not verse by verse!

I have not idea what I did or didn't do. Have added new songs more than once and didn't experience any problem.

Does anyone have a solution?

Hi!

Could you save the one song in a schedule and attach here and I will try to see what is happening.

I will be at church in the morning and will be able to get the presentation file. I will send it around noon eastern.

Thanks for your help.

Attached is the file with 2 problem songs. It has a TXT extension because the default is not recognized.

Tried on 2 different computers. A Windows 10 problem?

I pray you can change the extension back to EWS.

Thanks again!

Hi, just edit each song, select all the text ctrl+a cut it ctrl+x.
Open notepad and paste it into notepad.
Select all of the text in notepad ctrl+a.
copy it ctrl+c.
Paste it back into the song ctrl+v
Put the cursor at the end of each slide and press enter.
Click OK to save the song.

FYI EasyWorship 6 has the ability to do all this by right clicking and clicking paste without formatting when you copy text from a website. Might be worth the upgrade if you are going to do this a lot.

Thank you for your help, Roger. As far as the Easyworship upgrade, we would also have to buy a new computer. This is not possible at this time.
